In a bid to live up to my Facebook SY5s promotion to "Antipodean Expert", I thought I could review a pie which I had whilst in Melbourne.

PIE TYPE: Minced beef.

PROPER PIE (Sides, top and bottom): Check - bottom, sides AND top.

SHORTCRUST OR FLAKEY: Shortcrust.

ACCOMPANIMENTS: One bottle of VB.

QUALITY OF GRAVY: Not applicable.

QUANTITY OF GRAVY: Not applicable.

PIE RATING (1-very poor. 5 - excellent): 3

COMMENTS: There's something satisfying about eating a pie without any cutlery. Very base.

It was a ripper! I have two more pies to do write-ups for: the Thai Green Chicken pie in my local (yet to be sampled) and my favourite of all time: Pork and Apple from Harry Newboulds in Leyburn.
