Well as some of you may have read in the for sale threads both the peugeot and the mx5 had to go to make way for the new addition to the jd household my newest pride and joy a 1989 Mercedes Benz 300SE, I`ve wanted one of these for ages so when I seen it there was nothing  could do I just had to have it, it was definitely more of a heart than head decision but all the same I was very happy until I decided to change the radio cassette for something more up to date, said old unit was very reluctant to come out even after correct releasing pins had been inserted so the great idea entered my head to remove the ashtray to get behind the old head unit, did this and put my right hand up dash and behind radio, applied pressure to no avail, applied greater pressure still to no avail, levered myself against the dash and applied serious pressure and all off a sudden the old radio gave in and shot out, regrettably the tags that hold the frame to keep it in place didnt and my right hand was forced against them at high speed! Much blood! Some swearing! And possibly I may have passed out due to never ever having seen so much blood come out of me! A short ambulance ride later and I find myself at Barnsley general having the palm of my hand stitched back together, all good fun, sunday was my 30th birthday too and I still cant use my right hand, this has been the most rubbish 4 days of my life so far!

A fellow mercedes enthusiast yay lol, is the CE the same version type as mine or is it the newer one? Think there was an S class coup but its an SEC or something, the amount of variations they did was some what mind boggling! The 3 litre motor is a stormer though, gotta love the auto kick down, sounds sweet as at 5,500 rpm storming up a hill! And thank you to all for the birthday wishes
