Went for a (long and cold) drive to see my mate today out in the lincolnshire fens - met up at this very nice pub near a wonky church. paid £8.95 for a steak and ale pie - very nice!!!
The lowdown
Shortcrust pastry - top sides and bottom
Massive chunks of steak
Good quantity of ale gravy inside the pastry - with mediocre amount outside...
very tasty overall! (f*cking beautiful in other words)
accompanied with fries, new potatoes, steamed veg and corn on the cob - oh and the all important rustic bread and butter...
Pie Rating: 4.5/5!!!

Aye, they like their pies in Boston. Generally not to keen on exercise either!
