Hi guys my great little mx5 is in need of a new hood any ideas looking at around £700 and willing to travel if need be

700?that's expensive.are you buying a spare as well?fit your own,I did it's not difficult

Yeah. Thought they were only a couple of hundred squids from MX5 parts!! £700 seems very expensive

is it easy to fit because i use it everyday for work and will have to have a day off and fit it the same day

Still expensive for a vinyl...about 130 off ebay,because it was my first time,I bought another frame and fitted to that and just swapped the whole frame and hood....you can buy a brilliant fitting dvd from DANDYCARS for a fiver.

i paid 180 squid for a vinyl one inc delivary, i also got a step by step dvd with it, in total took about 5-6hrs on my own to remove old one & refit new one to existing frame,

dandydars.com there mohair hoods start at £259

fantastic guy, on nutz who specialises, shame hes miles away, but new hoods fitted from £215 for a black vinyl

and hes constantly recomended by people who've dealt with him

Paul from scunny rang got a genuine mazda mohair in black comes with frame and drain channels off a 05 plate  for £500 fitted does that sound reasnable

eventually got a new hood had it fitted at ac-cars in rotherham mohair and fitted for £390 what a steal

£390 for mohair and fitted sounds like a result.  My blue BAS mohair one was £370 and I fitted it myself...

Mine cost me £126 from a company on eBay, next day delivery too. A friend of mine on NEMS fitted it. Removal of old roof and new one on frame 1.25hrs start to finish.

The Car Trimming Co on ebay do a mohair hood for £190 buy it now plus £12 delivery and do different colours at no extra cost  bargain!!
