Absolute embarrasement todayI had to pour water over my drivers door lock and between the door and the rear quarter to get into Rosie today. Major emabarressment when I got to work, the bloody thing had frozen over and I had to be let out of my car, by someone pouring more warm water over the drivers door again. Any tips to stop the locks from freezing up, I have heard that vaseline on the door lock and catch helps, any truth in this?

I get it quite often where they do freeze shut, but never had them refreeze on a journey.

Well i googled it and got quite a few interesting answers
First off, do you have a dog ?
and are you ok with holding it's willy ?
If not,
the usual solutions apply, eg pouring/spraying lubricants in, getting one of those heat key things, or borrowing a hair dryer, portable or on a long extension.
I'm sure my fellow Members will have some useful tips too.

How about salty vaseline and this has nothing to do with your last post about the two guys playing squash.

I will have a look at your wife's hands next time, just to check they are big! So little hands make it look bigger???? ahhh.
Ps, we are ruining this sensible thread, sorry!

I was hoping for a cheaper solution. Firstly, I would need to move house as I do not have the land to build a garage. After I had bought my new house, I would need to get someone to draw up some plans, submit them to the council, once agreed arrange a builder to build it for me, then it would be problem solved, as you can see a bit more expense than I wanted. I am also being a tad sarcastic.
