HELP!!!! again!!!

So went to Worksop for medical for my job, filled up the car in Worksop and she did not start again. Have had to miss work and get a piggy back on a tow truck.

AND NO, before you all ask I filled it with the right fuel. Have already been asked it and am most put out.

My guess, my dads guess and the mechanics at the petrol station reckon it's a knackered starter motor. Now, you all know this is my only car, and I have sorted out getting to work this week, but I need my car!

So, all of you whom I love.....

Where can I get another, quickly?

And anyone fancy a tech day this weekend at my house??? Might be able to supply bacon butties....

Any help would be happily recieved and advice on where to get one, reasonably cheaply (although parents have offered to pay) and quickly!!

Ta, always seem to be a damsel in distress! Dunno what I would do without you for the laughs and the help!! ( sucking up, I know!!)

andburg

cheaply..get a 2nd hand one

sat not sure of my plans yet but i'll let you know, did he try hitting it with a big stick?
Froglet

yes, got a big hammer and had a go, but no joy. Could have bumped started it I spect, but could not be bothered. Just ordered one on ebay from Kelsey cars but can't get there to pick it up. Hopefully it will have arrived by Saturday to fit it. Should be fun!
Froglet

Just collected it from teh wilds of Lincolnshire. So definately up for a tech day on saturday if anyone is around. The man told me that it is easier to change it with a proper thingy (descriptive I know!!!) to get the car totally off the ground......hmmmmmm.

Oh well, we can try and if all else fails I can get the bloke from the nearby garage to come and pick it up and put the new (ish) one on. Dad is going to have the old one and clean it up.

Bacon butties and tea and coffee and maybe if I can be arsed to clear the garage, garage work space!
andburg

shouldn't be too bad of a job, we did clives clutch on axle stands so this should be wee wee!!!!

I'm up for it
Tetley

OI!! Andy is that before or after youve sorted my wheels??

A clutch on axle stands?  I am impressed.  Looks like you're in good hands Fi... I hope it's all fixed soon!
Froglet

Sorry Tetley.   I can't get anywhere at the mo, not even to work. Sorry, feel bad now.
Froglet

Oh, forgot to say. You are welcome here from ten if that's any good. I don't have many tools though and don't know if there are any ramps in the garage and whether I can use em. USELESS!!!! such a girl! I will even clear out a bit of the garage if it's raining so we can work in the dry. Bacon is already got and I can do tea and coffee!

If you need directions, being as I live in the middle of nowhere, just PM me. Thank you!
andburg

plan is.....

1: go get tyres for wheels/pickup tools and rams

2: go find fi's middle of nowhere lodge

3: fix whatever point 1 and 2 went wrong with lol

tbh i have no idea lol
Damo

I may be able to make this one, even though I fully appreciate that my presence will have no direct bearing on things getting done!!

Big thanks to Chris once again for taking time out to come and work miracles in the dark. Fortunately Andy's n Chris's diagnosis were spot on and it was the slave cylinder that had gone. We think it was because a small nipple bit on the end of the cylinder had broken off.

Cheers Chris wish i had some skills any skills that i could offer in return
andburg

good stuff!!!
Tetley

Yes THANK YOU MR CHRIS

I'd love a pair of swede shoes.  Are we talking clogg-style with the innards scooped out?  They'd look way cool, but I'm not sure you'd get much wear out of 'em.
