Hello! The librarian has got to have a new front off side drive shaft seal on his 05 astra. Garage want a ton of money to fix it and was wondering if anyone on here might want (ha ha) to have a go. I can feed you and everything.........
The garage reckons only an hour and a half.
Might need someone to look over the new car too!

hi, if its a job no one on here feels that they can do, where is the car ? ie where are the local garages ? which garage has quoted you ? can we recommend a better cheaper garage ?
Just an example but Andy knows a good garage in Rotherham, Kat/Kellie/Ray ? have a garage, Steve has a garage, and he has worked on my parents citroen and loads of other make of cars. He has'nt got a great deal of work on and would probably appreciate the work and i can guarantee he will be cheaper.
Just a thought, let me know the details or ring Steve ya self, just google MX5Motors, make sure that ya tell him ya a member of Sy5's and i told you to ring him. Given enough notice he will make sure you can use his Mazda 323 while he has your car, just make sure you say you will need a car to get to work or whatever.
Hope this helps.

Just been thinking also, there is nearly always a misting of oil round the driveshaft seals on f17 boxes, if thats all it is then I would just leave it tbh, still happy to take a look if your local tho.
