New exhaustOrate folks!I (my mate) fitted a new exhaust to the Red Rocket today. I finally decided on the one from MX5Parts (http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/1114) and I'm well chuffed. It fits well, looks the part, sounds awesome and is a reasonable price. It's a quality bit of kit I'd recommend to my fellow SY5ers - as the website claims, it could easily be £300 worth. I'll post pics soon. |

Nice one  had a ride in Fi's(dads) car today, and i think that has the same zaust. It has a really nice sound to it !!

Yeah, looks like the one my dad fitted. It sounds so so lush and is not counted as a mod, so it has not affected his insurance. I am really tempted to get one if my new one...when I find one, does not sound decent. Dad got it for about the same as their standard one at a National Rally. It has a really nice sound and is a bit raspy. Maked me feel like a wannabe chav!! lol

my dad got one at national rally,put it on last week,too loud for him...I got the twin version..absolutely brill...excellent quality..also got chrome de cat and 4-2-1 manifold,so now eunice is stainless throughout | ||

Aye Fi, it's definitely raspy at certain revs... I'm well chuffed.
Nice work, Mel... I'm all stainless too apart from the CAT. You'll certainly notice the difference with the 4-2-1 manifold - I find mine gives me a wider power band than the standard one reportedly does. |

When Matt fitted his twin one from MX5parts, we went out for the day and both had a blinding headache when we got back, complete with teeth rattled in our gums. I think he had the 4-2-1 and decat pipe, so it was really loud. But they sound beautiful once they have sooted up a bit! Quite fancy one meself....! But you can't do anything quietly with it on! Cor, we will all sound so lush!!! |
