Problem with my eunos cutting out :(Hey Guys! im new on here so hello first of all
Got a bit of a tricky one with my 91 1.6 eunos that i have just bought. 50% of the time its running fine then other times when i stop at a junction or some lights it decides to cut out then wont start or starts but runs really rough unless i rev it hard then it goes fine for a while. weird thing is it only seems to happen when i have less than half a tank of petrol in (maybe a coincidence) Iv changed the plugs, fuel filter and ht leads but still had no luck in finding the problem.
Anyone had this problem? Or any ideas
P.S seems to be running a bit rich aswel
Thanks
Dave

check your air intake, makre sure you have no leaks behind the airflowmeter as this will cause problems.
Also check for splits in the IACV hose, this comes off the intake and goes to the bottom of the throttle body
third thing, less likely would be check the lambda sensor is operating properly.
Think we're overdue for a tech day so keep an eye open we may have one this weekend

cheers guys ill check that out. going to get it hooked up to the computer Wednesday see if any codes show up. Tech day would be ace. I love the car would be quality to know a lot more about them. if i have any luck ill let you know for future reference. its just really intermittent which makes me think it wouldnt be the air. But im by no means a mechanic and you guys know best so ill give it a blast

shouldn't need a PC hookup
very basic ECU, you just need an LED and a couple of bits of wire to read the fault codes on the ECU
if you've change the fuel filter it may aswell be worth sticking some clean pipe in the lines to check for air in the lines.
