common problem on a lot of cars to be honest... weve had a lot of it on the Xsara club and i know of a BMW thats had the same problem... check for a noticable smell of petrol under the bonnet, especially with the engine running (fuel pumping through the pipes) i had a xsara VTS with this problem and the degredation is usually where the rubber fuel pipe connects to a hard metal pipe (check around injectors/through bulkheads etc)
if your unsure or want to change out then universal braided fuel hoses are pretty cheap when compared to buying a new car... remember, rubber perishes over time... good luck everyone! |
