to stripe or not to stripeOK, whats the club consensus on striping, as most of you know i have the racing green eunos, im seriously thinkink about stripes, silver or yellow, whats everyones thoughts
how it looks now
what i have seen

I love them and was, at a time, considering double whites for mine.
The main reasons I haven't:
My OCD means that if they weren't perfectly straight, I wouldn't be able to deal with it
I'm informed that they are a bugger to put on straight, especially on the rear (therefore back to point above)
I wonder what damage they'd do to the bodywork and what the car would be left like if I decided to take them off

If just stripes, then they're not for me. However if you're aiming for the full race spec Lotus Elan look (as pictured with the wheels and silver trim), then go for it!

I think it's a very personal thing, and have seen some that i like and some i don't. Personally i would get a couple of decent pics up of your own car and get someone to Photoshop it for you mate.

theyre monster stripes!
i say go for it mate - although having them yellow may be a bit 'too lotus' and not enough mazda if you get my meaning. i would source a decent joiners lazer level (one with a flat beam) for getting those stripes bang on...

If your serious about this, I think on a green car, only yellow or bronze really works.

Steve at MX5motors was only telling me that the other day
but he did say the painted on ones are a lot faster than the transfers
|
roadsterbloke

yep, but my speedo is painted on so the transfer type should be good for an extra 50mph

nice work m8,
im absolutely flummocks now, i'm having different ideas about wot to do, i think i may have to sellotape them on first & try various patterns when i finally get to pick em up, i bet i end up leaving it as it is

I deffo think that you should go for the stripe if thats what you want, and a few decals near the front always looks good. I think i will end up getting a few small decals for the front side bit myself.
When i first got my Blue 5 i thought about going blue n white, which inc white stripes and white wheels, but i opted for a more street look

Tbh the latest incident is just another chapter in the life of the Ancient Mariner Blue.
Since buying this car i have had more trouble with it than with every other car i've ever had !!
But it has also created many an adventure, and i wouldn't change a single moment of it ! At least i can definitely say i didn't buy it like it is.

They look really good mate. Maybe spacing them a little bit wider to give the badge a bit more space. Just from an artistic point of view!
