WHEELS

So i like wheels   but i have no idea about the size thing. Please explain to me up to what size wheels the 5 can take. I'm not on about 16" or 17"  i'm talking offsets ? zero, positive, negative etc
Plus what can the 5 take before you have to mess with the arches ?
There are sooo many gorgeous alloys out there, like these
Work equips, particularly the 03's on the left. Though the 01's are gorgeous too !

I could never afford any at full price and would have to put a cover on the car every night to hide them, and check my mirror everytime i drive home to make sure i'm not being followed.

NO i can change a wheel !! if its just a plain swap that is no messin wi spacers etc
roadsterbloke

the 5 can take

an offset between 3degress negative & 3degrees positive,

the pcd or pitch circle diameter of the 5's hub is 120mm with a left handed key way,

theres no limit to wot wheel will interfior with the arches, it depends on suspension & tyre size,

theres a 15 degree temperature differential in tyre air pressure which may vary when filled with nitrogen

the near side tyres however have a much greater offset for protection from the kerb,

silver wheels will not deflate as quick as black ones during a blow out

however the multi spoked style of wheel take much longer to complete a full rotation than those which  are of a fuller face type design

mariner blue cars with loose boot spoilers and shabby wiring are better off running 145   70    13  tyres as there drivers are of an older disposistion and it is generally thought to be much safer for them

but hey im no EXPERT,

So when people say ya can't have them wheels without workin on ya arches they are lying then !!

I can cos you said so !!  I'm not a big fan of stretch tyres but surely the tyres only fit the size of the wheels ya puttin em on.

Lol thats good that mate cheers. Lol ! Theres no hidden messages in this thread mate. My issue is when i see wheels for sale i think jeez they're nice i wouldn't mind them. 99% o time i would never buy em anyhow, but the fact that i have no idea if i could fit em without having to mess with my arches is annoying, as i have been advised a few times that wheels that i've liked wouldn't fit without rolling my arches or even cutting out my arches. I love wheels with deep offsets but don't want the car lookin silly. This is all hypothetical as i wont be getting any i just wanna know what crack is.

a 17" wheel with a profile of  45 and standard shocks wont fill up the arch as much as a 17" wheel with a profile of 70 with lowered suspension

so its not all about the wheel size,  there a sensible reply,  hehe!

ARCHES!!!!!!   ya mean elephants ears

I do believe the one on the left has arches too except they are blended in. They do make arches slightly smaller than the ones on the right.
yeah i know what ya mean about the wheels, i think they are about £1500 !
