I love them and was, at a time, considering double whites for mine.
The main reasons I haven't:
My OCD means that if they weren't perfectly straight, I wouldn't be able to deal with it
I'm informed that they are a bugger to put on straight, especially on the rear (therefore back to point above)
I wonder what damage they'd do to the bodywork and what the car would be left like if I decided to take them off

If just stripes, then they're not for me. However if you're aiming for the full race spec Lotus Elan look (as pictured with the wheels and silver trim), then go for it!

I think it's a very personal thing, and have seen some that i like and some i don't. Personally i would get a couple of decent pics up of your own car and get someone to Photoshop it for you mate.

theyre monster stripes!
i say go for it mate - although having them yellow may be a bit 'too lotus' and not enough mazda if you get my meaning. i would source a decent joiners lazer level (one with a flat beam) for getting those stripes bang on...

Also think some look great and some dont. Half fancy some black ones on ours but Lisa's not too up for it.
Think the yellow ones look good with the green tho!!

just on the look out now for a few more subtle touches to go with them, may fit a lip spoiler to the front if i can find one at the right dosh,

If your serious about this, I think on a green car, only yellow or bronze really works.

Steve at MX5motors was only telling me that the other day
but he did say the painted on ones are a lot faster than the transfers
